Other Users of MY8

CONTACTS are other MY8 users that you have agreed to connect with. You can invite any user to connect and you can also BLOCK any user from connecting, viewing your data or contacting you.

If DRWATSON accepts the invitation to connect, they will automatically be added to SHERLOCK's list of Contacts.

Subscribing and Messaging

The MY8 platform is concerned with protecting your privacy as well as that of others. To that end, we enable all users to limit who can see their data or send them a message through the platform. As previously mentioned, there's different levels of users in MY8:

• AUDIENCE - CONTACTS who subscribe to a Container
• AUTHENTICATED - MY8 users who are logged in
• ANONYMOUS - anyone on the internet

You can't just subscribe ANY user to Container, it must be one of your Contacts. Go to the SUBSCRIBERS FOR CONTAINER page to turn Subscriptions on and off for your Contacts.

You can only message a user who isn't a Contact if they've enabled "Send me a message" in one of their Containers but you can send messages directly to Contacts. This is by design and one of the safety features of MY8. Go to the Messages page to send and receive Messages to and from your Contacts.
