There's 208 Billion MY8 codes available, which means there is more than plenty to go around. However, when you generate a Random My8 code or select a MY8 code, we need to stop anyone else choosing the same code at the same time. To do that, we temporarily mark that MY8 code as unavailable and reserve it for you. Obviously, if you don't complete registration with the specified code, we need to release it for someone else to register and to stop a pile of unused reserved MY8 codes accumulating.

We've decided that a 20 minute window is more than sufficient to complete registration; most registrations are completed in under 2 minutes.

After 20 minutes have expired, we have background process that cleans up and un-reserves all the reserved (but unregistered) MY8 codes. If you navigate away or refresh the Register Page , you will be unable to register the same MY8 code for 20 minutes, until it is cleaned up. Chances are the same code will still be available, but for this reason, we recommend that you complete registration uninterrupted .
